Monaco, August 28, 2025 – Chelsea Football Club received a prestigious special honorary award from UEFA, recognizing them as the first club to win every major UEFA club competition, dubbed the “European Set.” The ceremony, held just before the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League league phase draw at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, celebrated Chelsea’s unparalleled dominance in European football, cemented by their 2024/25 UEFA Conference League triumph.

Chelsea’s journey to this milestone includes victories in the UEFA Champions League (2012, 2021), UEFA Europa League (2013, 2019), UEFA Conference League (2025), UEFA Super Cup (1998, 2021), UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup (1971, 1998), and UEFA Youth League (2015, 2016). Their latest success came on May 28, 2025, with a 4-1 victory over Real Betis in the Conference League final, where Cole Palmer earned Man of the Match honors for two assists. This win marked Chelsea’s first silverware under the BlueCo ownership era and completed their collection of UEFA titles. Additionally, Chelsea lifted the expanded FIFA Club World Cup in July 2025, defeating Paris Saint-Germain 3-0, with Palmer claiming the Golden Ball.

UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin presented the award to Chelsea President and Chief Operating Officer Jason Gannon, praising the club’s “impossible” feat, noting it may never be replicated. Gannon accepted the honor, stating, “On behalf of over 120 years of Chelsea football, the board, players, staff, and supporters, we thank UEFA for this meaningful recognition. It’s incredibly special.” The award plaque read: “A legacy built on passion, perseverance, and pride.”
The recognition coincided with Chelsea’s return to the Champions League, where they were placed in Pot 1 for the league phase draw. They face Barcelona (home), Bayern Munich (away), Benfica (home), Atalanta (away), Ajax (home), Napoli (away), Pafos (home), and Qarabağ (away) in the revamped format, starting September 16-18, 2025. Despite a fourth-place Premier League finish in 2024/25, secured with a 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest, Chelsea’s European success has bolstered their global brand.
For stakeholders, including investors and sponsors like new partner DAMAC Properties, this award underscores Chelsea’s commercial and competitive strength under Todd Boehly, Clearlake Capital, and head coach Enzo Maresca. As the club prepares for a demanding 2025/26 season, this honor reaffirms Chelsea’s status as a European football powerhouse, inspiring confidence in future on-pitch and off-pitch success.
